A novel thought
Stormy journalist cum successful director of Kannada films Indrajith Lankesh has pushed one more novel idea from his bank of ideas. To popularize the songs of his film Aishwarya he has delivered the Karaoke tunes to the orchestra troupes in Karnataka in a crowded function at Green House restaurant.
Inviting the lead orchestra operators in Karnataka - Gururaj, Mohan, Madan Patel, Joseph, Shivakumar and Ramu - Indrajith Lankesh felicitated them and also urged them to popularize the songs in their programs.
This is the first of its kind in India perhaps.
Speaking on this occasion superstar Upendra lauded the effort of director Indrajith Lankesh and also recalled how he was curiously sitting on the footpath and hearing the songs from orchestra in main roads and gullies.
Madan Patel the senior most orchestra operator in Karnataka also producer and actor of Kannada cinema considered the instruments as his parents. He appreciated the first attempt made by Indrajith Lankesh. I lived my life from this orchestra and we would take up the offer given seriously said Madan Patel.
I feel all the orchestra troupes have got Moksha from this new attempt of Indrajith Lankesh opined Gururaj.
Music director Rajesh Ramanath said many of the singers and music directors today have come from orchestra and their contribution is commendable he felt.
