There was all round applause for the effort of Chitraloka editor K.M.Veeresh in showcasing the memory of the Kannada film history through the exhibition of film stills of 2528 Kannada films from 1934 to August 11 th 2006. The mega event of the mega portal was flagged off at 10 am on Monday - 14th August 2006.

The Karnataka Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy reached the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce the venue of the week long exhibition one hour early in the morning. He along with Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar and other industry bigwigs lighted the lamp in front of the huge portrait of Dr.Rajkumar. The chief minister with busy schedule stayed for half an hour and had a quick look at the film photographs displayed in the first floor of the KFCC.

Immediately after taking a look at the photographs he congratulated Chitraloka editor K.M.Veeresh for his effort.

Soon after the Chief Minister inaugurated the exhibition the stage was set for Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar, information director I.M.Vittala Murthy, SIFCC President K.C.N.Chandrasekhar, KFCC President H.D.Gangaraju, Vice President of KFCC Sa.Ra.Govindu, Mruthyunjaya of GM Rejoys, Mohan of Anand Audio and K.M.Veeresh for the release of CD consisting all the photographs displayed at the exhibition of Chitraloka mega portal.

Appreciating the effort of K.M.Veeresh the leading lady of the Kannada filmdom Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar said Veeresh do all the work in a disciplined and systematic way. What he needs is the financial support and all the persons in the industry should support him in this direction urged Smt.Parvathamma. She also blessed KM.Veeresh good health and hoped he would serve the Kannada filmdom further.

The Karnataka information director I.M.Vittalamurthy informed that K.M.Veeresh has the mad passion. For showcasing the history of Kannada cinema in photographs it is not an easy task. What a very big institution should do he has done it. I saw the photographs in his laptop when he came to meet with journalist Jogi and got convinced at his sincere effort he said. I went back to my school days looking at the photographs. For this type of cause the government would stand behind Veeresh he said. This special moment has to be taken to all the districts of Karnataka and on the occasion of Suvarna Karnataka this effort is wonderful he added.

This type of exhibition has the Guinness entry possibilities and in the entire country this type of exhibition is first of its kind lauded the KFCC President H.D.Gangaraju.

The President of South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce K.C.N.Chandrasekhar in his speech congratulated K.M.Veeresh as he has disclosed in his speech that he is not alone who has done it. Besides working as photo journalist his eagerness to something extraordinary is special and rare he said.

Tejaswini a painter handed over a special photograph of Dr.Rajkumar to Smt.Parvathamma Rajkumar and portrait of K.M.Veeresh to Veeresh on stage.

Smt.Thanuja Veeresh and daughter of K.M.Veeresh - Kruthika handed over the bouquets to the guests on the stage.

The advancement in the timing of the inauguration of mega event of Chitraloka was because of the rescheduling of the CM's program. In a quick span of time the KFCC office bearers, former President of KFCC C.V.L.Shastry, K.V.Gupta, K.V.Chandrasekhar, R.Lakshman, Director S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu, T.S.Nagabharana, Jai Jagdeesh, C.Ashwath, Raghavendra Rajkumar, K.C.N.Mohan, N.Kumar, Girija Lokesh and others.

As usual the program was very well conducted by Aparna the pride of Karnataka.
