Vijayalakshmi, Srujan Lokesh tie the knot

who
had
a
bumpy
ride
in
her
career
seems
to
be
hitting
right
as
for
as
her
marriage
is
concerned.
She
has
been
now
engaged
to
Kannada
actor
Srujan
Lokesh
with
whom
she
had
a
three
year
secret
courtship.
"Both me and Viji have decided to become life partners' declared Srujan in a happy voice to the "Chitraloka' portal. He said their decision to marry was not borne out with in a short span of time, but they had taken three years to understand each other.
Speaking from Chennai to the portal Srujan also said that their marriage could be termed as a love and arranged marriage. Ours will be love cum arranged marriage. We were very good friends from past three years. We are having good understanding. Last month we decided to get married by talking elder's blessings. I told amma and she was thrilled and immediately gave green signal. Elders decided 27 th October was the good day for engagement. At Benz park hotel in Chennai our engagement took place. Family members and close friends were present. Marriage will be in Bangalore in March 2007. Srujan also said that Vijayalakshmi is shifting to Bangalore within two weeks. Vijayalakshmi had moved to Chennai from Bangalore along with her mother after the death of her father.
Vijayalakshmi was considered an explosion of talent by many directors with whom she had worked including top directors like Nagabharana, S.V. Rajendra Singh Babu, K.V. Raju and D. Rajendra Babu. Ravichandran spotted her and selected her as a heroine with Balaji in the film "College' which was later shelved. The first film of the actress to be released was was Nagamandala directed by Nagabharana based on a folk tale. Viji was paired opposite to talented Prakash Rai in the film, but she did prove her talents in the film. Then she acted in films like Jodi Hakki, No.1, Swastik, Bhoomi Thaayi Chochala Maga, Habba, Suryavamsha, Arunodaya, Durgada Huli, Naxalite, Punjabi House etc. In Tamil she has acted in films like Friends, Soori, in Telugu her successful film was Hanuman Junction. She has also acted in a Malayalam film. Her first television serial was Savithri produced by Actor Gurudatt. Till recently she was anchoring the television shows 'Bangarada Bete' for Udaya TV.
