Kannada
film
actress
Daamini
will
be
attending
the
remaining
portions
of
the
film
Swathanthra
Palya
directed
by
Venkat
and
the
producers
of
this
film
have
to
pay
Rs.
1
lac
as
her
remuneration
before
the
actress
attends
the
shooting.
This
is
the
agreement
that
has
come
about
after
a
reconciliation
held
in
the
Karnataka
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce
which
had
acted
on
a
complaint
received
from
the
producers
of
Swathanthra
Palya.
Daamini
was
the
heroine
of
the
film
and
the
producers
had
complained
to
the
film
chamber
that
the
actress
had
not
been
co-operating
to
complete
the
project.
On
the
other
hand,
Daamini
had
complained
that
producers
and
Shankar
who
is
the
financier
of
the
project
had
misbehaved
with
her.
Daamini
had
also
said
that
she
had
not
received
any
payment
from
the
producers
other
than
Rs.
10000
that
she
had
received
as
an
advance
prior
to
the
beginning
of
the
film.
She
had
also
maintained
that
her
call
sheet
was
obtained
by
the
producers
after
they
agreed
to
pay
a
remuneration
of
Rs.
1.5
lacs.
The
complaint
of
the
film
producers
that
was
registered
in
the
KFCC
had
indicated
that
the
film
could
not
be
completed
on
time
only
because
of
the
non
co-operation
of
Daamini.
The
actress
had
then
called
a
press
conference
indicating
that
it
was
the
producers
of
the
film
who
were
at
fault
and
they
had
not
obeyed
their
commitments
regarding
her
remuneration.
She
also
charged
that
the
financier
of
the
film
who
was
also
acting
in
the
film
had
misbehaved.
Sa.
Ra.
Govindoo,
Vice
President
of
the
KFCC
and
K.C.N.
Kumar,
Secretary
intervened
in
the
matter
and
called
both
the
disputing
parties
for
a
settlement.
Anyway,
the
controversy
has
now
ended
with
both
parties
agreeing
to
bury
their
differences
and
work
in
the
process
of
completing
the
film
