Two Kannada films that were released on the same day are now celebrating the hundred day"s runs. These films have faced stiff competition from many good films but have been able to make a mark despite not sounding hopefuls at the time of their release. Guinness record holder Master Kishan's first directorial debut Care of Foot Path produced by the child prodigy's father Srikanth and Vinod Raj starrer Kannadadha Kanda produced by his mother Leelavathi have become hits and have completed a hundred day run.
Incidentally these two films were released along with films like Student and Tananam Tananam which had carried high expectations and had good names to back with. But on day one itself, Vinod Raj proved that he still holds some level of charisma. His film opened so well that the trade pundits were scratching their eyes. Despite its poor production values and the run of the mill story "Kannadadha Kanda' was able to get a huge opening which continued even later. A happy Vinood Raj and his mother Leelavathi were thanking the Kannada film audience for the love and affection. They also thanked the media for the excellent support.
Directed by Master Kishan celebrated the hundred day run of his debut directorial venture Care of Foot Path in his own distinctive style. He heard on Saturday morning that his film was running houseful shows in the theatre where it was being screened. Kishan had got ready with colors, crackers and sweets to celebrate at home but the news of houseful made him go to the theatre with colors, sweets and crackers and then it was a gala time. Kishan celebrated holi at the theatre with children and teachers. Sweets were distributed and all children took an oath that they will study well for bring A good name to their parents and their country. Meanwhile Kishan announced that the film is not terminated and this is a small exam break and the second innings of the film would be continued in April.
