Actress
Kirat
Bhattal
will
be
making
her
Kannada
film
debut
in
Geleya.
The
director,
Harsha,
is
one
of
the
top
dance
directors
in
Kannada
films
today.
He
will
be
making
his
directorial
debut
with
Geleya.
Kadur
Umesh,
Basavaraj
and
Naveen
Manu
Gangadhar
will
produce
the
film.
The
actress
has
already
shot
for
a
major
portion
of
the
film.
Now
she
will
join
the
other
cast
and
crew
of
the
film
in
Ramweshwaram,
where
the
film
is
being
shot.
Kirat"s
previous
credits
include
the
Tamil
film
Vattaram,
in
which
she
acted
alongside
actor
Arya.
She
played
the
role
of
actor
Napolean"s
daughter
in
the
film.
Though
the
film
dealt
with
the
issue
of
sale
of
illegal
arms
in
the
underworld,
Kirat"s
presence
did
add
some
glamour
quotient
to
it.
Before
that
she
had
also
acted
in
the
Telugu
film
Dongodi
Pelli,
which
was
directed
by
debutante
director
Ratna.
Kirat
was
a
model
before
she
got
her
first
break
in
films.
She
had
debuted
in
her
first
ad
for
Lakme
with
actress
Raima
Sen.
An
ad
with
Sri
Kumaran
Silks
followed
in
which
she
was
noticed
by
Vattaram
producer
and
director
Sharan.
She
simultaneously
also
signed
Desiya
Nedunchalai
47,
the
earlier
name
of
which
was
NH47.
NH47,
a
Dhanush
starrer,
was
to
be
released
in
December
"07.
Wanting
to
qualify
it
for
the
Government
subsidy
for
Tamil
film
names,
they
changed
the
name
of
the
film
to
DN47.
The
word
so
far
on
the
project
is
that
it"s
stalled
and
might
me
pursued
again
after
Dhanush
finishes
the
shooting
of
Pollathavan.
Getting
word
that
NH47
was
stalled
for
the
time
being,
the
producers
of
Kannada
film
Geleya
approached
her.
She
readily
agreed
to
act
in
the
movie.
Kirat
Bhattal
also
the
also
brand
ambassador
for
various
products
including
Lakme,
Claeres,
Fair
and
Lovely,
Motorola
and
Macleans.
