She is considered as the sexiest item starlets of the film industry today. Already her item songs in films like Telugu and Tamil Pokkiri and Hindi film Munnabhai M.B.B.S have become the talk of the town. Item song girl Mumaith Khan was here in Bangalore to dance in the Kannada film Orata directed by Srinivas and produced by Manohar.
The song in which Mumaith participated was picturised in the Abhiman studios recently. Prashanth and Sowmya, both fresh faces, are introduced through this film.
Mumaith, who has now become a leading item song dancer in the Indian film industry, was more than happy to share information about herself and reveal her mind. She was forthcoming in answering the inquisitive questions from the media. Though Mumaith wants to be seen in leading roles, she said that she was not unhappy to work in item numbers.
What is wrong in exposing? I don"t find any reason to feel unhappy if some one asks me to wear skimpy costumes. Why I should fail in my duty to perform sexy dances when there is a demand for such dances' said Mumaith Khan.
Mumaith who is born to a Tamilian mother hailing from Tiruchi and a Pakistani father said that she has become popular after her number in Hindi film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. She was earning a meager Rs. 1500 per month as a group dancer, but has now graduated as a big item dancer.
Mumaith is doing more number of films in Telugu and Tamil these days which include the recently released Bhoo Kailas and Operation Duryodhana which had Venu Madhav and Srikanth in the leading roles. In both these films, Mumaith had major roles. Earlier, she did the role of a police officer in the hit film Evadaithe Naakenti which had Dr. Rajashekhar as the hero.
