Talented
actor
Prakash
Raj,
better
known
as
Prakash
Rai
in
Karnataka
because
of
his
Kannada
roots,
is
all
set
to
return
to
Kannada
films
after
a
gap
of
nearly
a
year.
He
had
acted
in
the
villain"s
role
in
Aajay
starring
Puneet
Raj
Kumar
which
was
produced
by
Rockline
Venkatesh.
Now
he
will
be
acting
in
Geleya,
starring
Prajwal
Devaraj
and
Tarun
in
lead
roles,
which
is
being
produced
by
Mookambika
Productions.
The
film
is
directed
by
choreographer
Harsha
who
is
wielding
the
megaphone
for
the
first
time.
Actress
Kiran
is
the
heroine
of
this
film.
The
film
has
already
completed
shooting
of
a
25day
schedule.
Prakash
Raj
is
all
set
to
join
the
unit
when
the
second
schedule
begins
from
April
23.
Naveen
Manu
Gangadhar
one
of
the
producers
of
the
film
says
that
they
had
Prakash
Raj
in
mind
as
soon
as
the
script
was
ready.
'His
selection
became
inevitable
after
some
improvements
were
made
in
the
script
which
led
to
strengthening
of
his
character
in
the
movie.
Director
Harsha
and
Preetham
also
thought
that
Prakash
Raj's
selection
will
strengthen
the
film.
But
there
was
one
lingering
doubt
in
us,
as
we
were
not
sure
whether
he
would
accept
the
offer.
Because
we
knew
he
was
so
busy
with
his
multifarious
activities
as
an
actor
and
producer.
They
added,
“Recently
his
hit
film
Mozhi
has
brought
him
some
good
appreciation
and
Prakash
was
committed
to
make
more
quality
films.
We
still
thought
if
Prakash
Raj
hears
the
story,
he
might
agree
to
act
in
the
film.
We
sent
word
to
him
first
and
then
he
asked
for
some
time.
When
we
persisted
our
efforts,
he
wanted
to
hear
the
script.
Then
we
went
to
Chennai
and
briefed
him
the
story
and
his
character.
Convinced
that
his
role
was
strong
enough,
the
actor
decided
to
allot
immediate
dates.
In
gratitude,
they
concluded,
“We
are
really
grateful
to
him.
We
are
sure
the
quality
quotient
of
the
film
will
transform
now
what
with
Prakash
Raj
playing
the
important
character
in
the
film"
he
said.
However,
Gangadhar
did
not
want
to
reveal
the
character
that
Prakash
Rai
is
playing
in
the
film.
“That
little
bit
of
information
we
want
to
keep
a
secret",
he
said.
It
is
better
for
the
audience
to
watch
him
on
the
screen
and
assess
the
strength
of
the
character.
And
we
have
another
ace
in
the
form
of
Mano
Murthy"s
music.
We
want
to
shoot
one
song
of
the
film
in
Lakshadweep
islands
where
there
has
been
not
been
any
shooting
for
a
South
Indian
film.
One
another
song
we
want
to
shoot
in
Chickmagalur."
Gangadhar
said.
