Simran drops out from a Kannada film!

Ramba will replace Simran in the Kannada version of the Tamil blockbuster Pithamagan.

Pithamagan is being remade in Kannada starring Upendra in the role of Vikram and Sangavi is playing the role in which Sangeetha featured in the Tamil version.
In Tamil, ace director Bala cast Vikram in a novel manner, and paved the way for the actor to win the National award for the first time in his career. Uppi also believes that the film will bestow him with a new image in his acting career.

However, for an item song in which Simran appears as an actress abducted by Surya, the director has opted for Ramba. Originally the director had planned to shoot the sequence with Simran, and the actress also accepted to appear in the item number. But later he dropped Simran and decided to go with Ramba.

Appearing in the screen as an actress is not new to Ramba. She has already appeared in the same role in a Parthiban starrer Tamil film 'Unnaruge Nanirinthal'.
