Upendra moves closer to Kollywood, Tollywood

Kannada film industry"s top star Upendra is busy doing leading roles in the Kannada films, the stories of which are exclusively focused on his character. Being a Superstar, all his films have stories revolving around him. Most of the films he is acting have titles that relate to his character like Parodi, Masthi, Hari Hara and Lava Kusha to name a few. But the actor in Upendra seems to be hungry for challenging roles. Acting in hero"s role may satisfy his financial needs but his creative needs are not getting the satisfaction they yearn. That may well be the reason that Upendra is acting in some anti hero"s roles with negative shades in the Telugu and Tamil films now.

The Telugu film of Upendra has already started shooting and one big schedule shooting has been completed in Hyderabad. The film has been titled as Toss, Bomma Burusa. Toss..Bomma Borusa has an interesting cast. Upendra will be playing a leading role but it is a negative role. Raja, Priyamani and Kamna Jetmalani are playing other lead roles in the film. Priyadarsan Ram, better known as Rami Reddy, is the director. Amarnath and Radhamohan are producing the film under the Dev Film Dreams Pvt Ltd banner.

Toss..Bomma Borusa is a different kind of action film. 50% of the talkie part shooting is already done. The unit met with the media recently at Annapoorna studios. Hero Upendra said that he liked the role very much and took up the project withoutany second thoughts. Similar was the case with the rest of the cast. Now, it is being said that Kannada film actress Ramya is also playing a key role in the film. In Tamil, Upendra seems to have accepted a film which has Vishal as the hero. Jagannaathan is the director of the film. According to the director of the film Upendra"s character is the most important factor in the film.
