Brothers vijaya raghavendra and Murali will be sharing screen space for the first time. Director M Ar Ramesh, the director of award winning films like Santhosha' and the much talked about film Cyanide', will be directing the film for producer Sa. Ra. Govindoo. The film has been given the title Minchina Ota'. The director said that the two brothers were selected only because they suited the roles perfectly. Ramesh has written the story and screenplay of the film. The director is in search of two heroines for this project.

M.Ar. Ramesh, who has had his training in the Chennai film institute, is a great fan of Late Shankar Nag and makes it apparent by using the title of a film directed by the most talented actor and director the Kannada film industry has seen.

The earlier film Minchina Ota' also featured brothers - Anant Nag and Shankar Nag with Lokanath playing another important role. Shankar Nag had written the script and had also directed this film, which was the first of the films he had directed and acted in. Shankar Nag had also directed two films with- Guri with Dr. Raj Kumar and Hosa Theerpu with Ambareesh in which he had not acted.
