Pooja Gandhi has been trying to portray variety of characters in her films. The Mungaru Male girl, who created a sensation through her debut film, has been trying to prove her credentials as the performing and glamorous actress. Anu, which is one of the films that Pooja Gandhi has completed recently, has a role which is close to heart.
This information was revealed by Pooja Gandhi at a media conference organised by the film unit before its release next month. The film's hero and producer Balu and film's director Shiva Ganapathy were present. Duniya Rashmi who plays an important role in this film was also present.
"I play the role of a Television Journalist in this film. Many mysterious things happen in front of my eyes and I will be left dumbfounded. Finally the mystery gets solved. Anu is the remake of Telugu film Anasuya directed by Ravi Babu. Bhumika had acted in the leading role in this film. I am happy that I got the opportunity to play such an interesting role in its Kannada version," said Pooja Gandhi.
Pooja also added that she had worked with a young team of professionals who had a great passion in cinema. "Producer Balu and director Shiva Ganapathy were all charged when they were working on this project," added Pooja Gandhi.
Balu, the producer of the film said that the dubbing of the film has been completed and is extremely confident of the quality of the product. "I am sure that the Kannada version has come out much better than the Telugu original," said Balu.
Shiva Ganapathy, who had worked as an associate to director Ravi Babu during the making of the Telugu original Anasuya, is the director of the Kannada film. He said that all the artistes have done their best and the hero would go places after the release of the film.
Actress Rashmi said she was happy to be a part of the film. She said that Pooja Gandhi was a good company for her during the shooting of the film.
