Kannada cinema's love affair with the underworld continues. Three recently-released movies Arjun with Darshan, Maadesha with Shivaraj Kumar and Vamshi with Puneet Rajkumar, dealt with life in the underworld and now, the recently--launched Chamarajapet is also going on the same track. The film, which was launched on 9th October, is a love story blossoming in the backdrop of gangsters" world. Surya Kiran is the director and Shwetha is the heroine.
It's been quite a while since the super hit Nanda Loves Nandita has released, but we did not see the heroine Shwetha accepting any other film. The reason, of course, is that after Nanda Loves Nandita, a whole lot of offers came her way but after doing such a meaty role in a super hit movie, the actress did not want roles which did not require anything except dancing around trees and dropping tears. On top of that, the studious Shwetha was involved with her examinations. Fortunately, now the exams are over and she is free.
Now that she can get back to her film career with no exams to distract her, she is all set to do Chamarajapet. Meanwhile her first Tamil film shot in Chennai is nearing completion.
