KFCC finds director Dayal guilty

Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has found producer-cum-director Dayal Padmanabhan guilty of stealing the story of the movie Circus. KFCC has made it clear that the original story has been written by director S Mahendar.

S Mahendar had written that story when Dayal was working as assistant under him. Now it has been proved before KFCC that the same story has been stolen by Dayal. It has ordered Dayal to give Rs 1.5 lakh as a compensation to S Mahendar and 25000 to KFCC. Anyway, Mahendar has got justice.

Director Dayal had said that he had written the story ten years ago. But Mahendar had already narrated this story to many producers including producer Ramesh Yadav. He appealed to KFCC when Dayal did not accept this truth. Now KFCC has ruled that the story is by Mahendar.
