Deadly Soma sequel in the making

Deadly Soma (2005) featuring Audithya and Rakshita will have a sequel which will begin shooting in March 2009. All the artistes and technicians will be the same except heroine Rakshita, who quit films after marriage. Preethi Rao, model and sister of Amrita Rao, will replace Rakshita in Deadly Soma Part 2.

Deadly Soma is the story of a young man Soma who becomes a criminal. A bright student, Soma is unnecessarily provoked during a kabaddi match and he takes revenge by beating his rivals. After that, Soma's life changes and he gets involved in many crimes. The film, criticized for its violent scenes, went on to become a success. Deadly Soma was directed by Ravi Srivatsa and produced by Manjunath and Shobha Rajanna with music by Sadhu Kokila.
