Hamsalekha to teach Desi music

The fourth installment of 'Sangeetha Varsha 2008' organised by Hamsalekha Music Trust in promotion of Hamsalekha Desi Vidya Samsthe, a free educational institution for SC/ST and down trodden children is scheduled on 27th of April this month at 6.30 pm in Samsa Bayalu Ranga Mandira.The programme titled 'Desi Literature' has a wide-range of dancing and singing in folk style.

The last three shows were grand shows featuring lead singers such as S Janaki, Chitra and Malgudi Shubha along with other singers like Harsha, Latha Hamsalekha, Nandini Hamsalekha, Ravi Shekhar, Ramesh Chandra and Hemanth.

The month of January was named 'Janamaasa' as commeration of Republic day. Chitra was the lead singer of this show. This event spread the message of unity and intergrity in this diversified land. The second month programme was titled 'Desi Vibrations'. The month of February was renamed 'Kirumaasa', to spread the message to conquer inferiority complex. S Janaki was the lead singer of this show along with actor cum singer Sunil Raoh.

The third programme was titled 'Desi Arithmetic'. The month of March was renamed 'Lekha Maasa' as it is an auditing month. Malgudi Shubha was the lead singer along with actor turned singer Vijay Raghavendra.

The forthcoming programmes will feature lead singers such as Udit Narayan, Hariharan, Kunal Gangawala, Shankar Mahadevan, Madhu Balakrishna, C Ashwath, S P Balasubramaniam, Kavitha Krishnamurthy, Anuradha Sriram among others.
