Audio release of Karanji

The audio of Karanji, an ambitious venture by producer N.M. Suresh, was released by noted producer S.A. Chinne Gowda and reputed cameraman Kabir Lal at Greenhouse Raj Milan on Friday evening. During the audio release, music director Veera Samarth said that the film, directed by Sridhar, focuses on folk, rock and classical music.

Amazingly, there are 14 songs in Karanji. The songs were penned by Santha Shishunala Sharief, T.P. Kailasm, N.K. Hanumanthaiah, Dr. H.S. Venkateshamurthy, Udayashanker, Satish Tiptur, Raghavendra Kamath, Sridhar and S.S. Kulkarni. For the first time in the history of Kannada films, Karanji is promoted by two multinational companies; Airtel and Pepsi.

Karanji is the story of five youngsters who are passionate about music. It stars Vijaya Raghavendra and Bollywood actress Gauri Karnik, the curly-haired beauty who acted in Lucky Ali's Sur (2002). Vijaya Raghavendra plays the head of a music band, while Gauri Karnik is a dominant singer in the film.
