The Kannada Film Producer's Association has rejected KFCC's (Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce) proposal to change the present show timings in theatres. The KFPA cited security reasons for its decision; KFPA president K.C.N. Chandrasekhar, in a reply to KFCC, said that some of the suggested timings like the 9 p.m. shows, are not conducive.

The KFCC had earlier written to KFPA to change the current timings of 10.30 a.m., 1.30 p.m., 4.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. shows to 11.30 a.m., 2.30 p.m., 6.30 p.m. and 9 p.m. with effect from January 1, 2009.
