Delhi model cum actress Meera Chopra has been chosen as the heroine for Arjun starring Darshan in the lead. The film is being produced by Jayanna and is directed by Sahuraj Shinde who had earlier directed Darshan's flick Snehaanaa Preethinaa. Meera Chopra is now busy in Tamil and Telugu films and she is now making her debut in the Kannada film industry. She has already worked for the film in a few sequences and has also finished work relating to a song in the film. Distributor turned producer Jayanna is quite happy about the selection of Meera Chopra in the film.
Meera Chopra who is also known as Nila had acted in Telugu film Vaana, the remake of Kannada block buster Mungaru Male. The film did not do well, but Meera seems to be getting very good offers in Tamil. She was featured with major stars like Bangaram in Telugu with Pawan Kalyan, Tamil film Maruthamalai with Arjun, Kaalai with Silambarasan. Her first film was Anbe Aaruyire with S.J.Surya.
Meera Chopra has a good educational background. She did her bachelor's degree from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan, U.S.. After studying mass communications in New York, Meera worked with a leading national television channel but soon gave it up because she felt she was given a raw deal. Then she switched on to the modelling world and then it was S.J.Surya who brought her to Tamil films. Then she worked with a big star like Pawan Kalyan in a Telugu film.
