Nayee Neralu going places

Though Girish Kasaravalli's 'Nayee Neralu' failed to impress the selectors at National level, the film has been successfull in wooing the audience world-wide. The film which has been screened at various International Film Festivals and has recently bagged the V Shantaram award.

'Nayee Neralu' has much to travel in 2008. The film has been selected as the opening film in the Guwahati International Film Festival. It will be screened in some more film festivals, among them is the Latvia film Festival which is scheduled in the month of August this year.

Meanwhile, Kasaravalli has wrapped up his latest film 'Gulabi Talkies' based on the story of the same name by well known writer Vaidehi. The film has been censored and ready for screening any time now. The film which stars Umashri, Pallavi Dattu and others in prominent roles is produced by Basanth Kumar Patil.
