Still from Olave Jeevana Lekkachara
Producer K.Manju who is showing lot of interest in his political moves in recent days has not forgotten his filmy moves. He has just launched his new film Olave Jeevana Lekkachara to be directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar. The muhurath was held at the Venkateshwara Temple in J.P.Nagar on 14th April. The clap board for the muhurath shot was held by actor Dr. Vishnuvardhan. The film's hero Srinagar Kitty faced the muhurath shot.

Explaining the content of the film, Nagathihalli said that romance, satire, comedy emotions will be part of the film. He said the film's story is totally based on a short story Bhoomi Gundaagidhe written by him in Mayura magazine sometime in the nineties. The publication of the story did receive some wide criticism and even legal notices were served on the publication at that time. "Now I have adopted this story to the film medium with some changes. My friend Jogi who is a well known journalist is writing the script for this film. The film will be shot for forty days in Bangalore, Mysore and Chitradurga. I am planning to shoot some portions of the film at Mysore's Maharaja College. A new heroine Anvitha is being introduced in this film. Rangayana Raghu is playing another important role," said Nagathihalli.

Nagathihalli also added that out of the five songs of the film three have been penned by him. He is using Purandaradaasa's famous song "Kereya Neeranu Kerege Chelli" for one song. He will also use B.R.Lakshman Rao's "Preethi Andhare Haalu Bhavi" for the film.

Producer K.Manju said that Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar has retained his confidence even after the debacle of Mathad Mathadu Mallige because he is a very dedicated and hard working film director. "I wanted to make Yayathi, but since the project needed me to spend more than six crores, I did not take up the project. My calculation worked out and I have now started this film," said Manju.

Anvitha is being introduced as the heroine of this film. Her family now stays in Kuwait as her father is an employee of the United Nations. Anvitha was educated in London. Kitty says that the film will be a romantic comedy and he was happy to work with Nagathi Meshtru who was a guide to him.
