Young Puneet Rajkumar is all set to have an interesting and unique dance sequence in his forthcoming film Raaj - The Showman directed by Prem. Puneet will dance alongside yesteryear heroines actress-turned-MP Jayaprada, Jayamala (now president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce), multilingual actress Ambika, Roopa Devi and Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, who had worked with his father, the late Rajkumar.
According to sources, the song is likely to be shot from January 4, 2009 in Bangalore. Director Prem confirmed that Jayaprada would be part of the song, but refused to reveal the names of the other heroines. The song, which was to have been shot earlier, was delayed because Jayaprada was busy canvassing for the Samajawadi Party in several northern states.
Raaj - The Showman, one of the costliest Kannada films, will have Puneet in different getups. Bollywood actress Nisha Kothari is the lead actress of the film which has been shot extensively in Mysore, Bangalore and Kodagu. Two songs have been picturised in scenic locales in Europe.
The film is produced by Suresh Gowda and Srinivasa Murthy under the banner of Sri Seethabhairaveshwara Productions, who made the hit Gaja, which recently celebrated its 100 days run. V. Hari Krishna handles the music and S. Krishna is the man behind the camera. The audio release of the film is planned in Dubai.
