Kannada film industry's promising writer Tushar Ranganath, who assisted directors like Sadhu Kokila and Shivamani, is now an independent director. His first directorial venture Gulama produced by Ramu Enterprises was launched recently with great fanfare at the Kanteerava Studios.
Prajwal Devaraj, Sonu and Biyanka are in the key roles. It may be just a coincidence, but Prajwal's father Devaraj was the lead actor in many films produced by Ramu. The first film that brought Ramu and Devaraj together was titled as Golibar, which turned out to be a hit.
Rangantha, who has changed his name to Tushar Ranganath, is realising his dream of a decade to become a director. Though he had joined the film industry as a writer and an assistant director, he always focuses on becoming a director. And Ranganath said that he is very happy that producer Ramu has given him a break as a writer and also as a director. In this film he has many responsibilities besides directing the film. He has also written the lyrics for the songs of the film. A confident Ranganath said that his film will bear the stamp of his talents. Guru Kiran is the music director of this film while Shekhar Chandru is the cameraman. The film will be shot for seventy days.
