Politicians being linked to film stars leading to big controversies are a common occurence in politics. H. Vishwanath, a cabinet colleague of the former Chief Minister and present governor of Maharashtra, S.M. Krishna, has come out with his 184-page autobiography titled 'Halli Hakkiya Haadu' which contains references of an affair between Krishna and Saroja Devi.
The book has led to unwanted controversy for both Krishna and Saroja Devi. Supporters of S.M. Krishna thronged to the venue of the book release on Tuesday, alleging that it was an attempt to defame their leader who is planning for a return to active politics.
Saroja Devi is a renowned actress who has acted in several films in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. The 62-year old actress said that she was hurt by the references made by Vishwanath in his book.
