Soundarya in her mother's shoes

Soundarya, the charming daughter of Dr. Jayamala, is paired with Puneet Rajkumar in Lagori. She has just returned from Mumbai after doing a crash course in acting from the prestigious Kishore Namith Kapoor institute and is ready to make a mark of her own.

Dr. Jayamala broke the news of her daughter's entry into Sandalwood during the stone laying ceremony of the Dr. Rajkumar Foundation recently. The production house that Dr. Jayamala owns is named after her daughter. Soundarya has been considering acting for a while and several producers had approached mother and daughter who were waiting for the right banner, film and hero.

Lagori is being directed by Yograj Bhatt of Mungaru Male and Gaalipata fame.
