Shobaraj, the noted Kannada character artiste will soon reach his 150th film and he wants to become a producer. He is willing to spend even 5 crores for a movie. Now the rumour is that he has consulted two of his favourite actors, Dr. Vishnuvardhan and hat trick hero Shivaraj Kumar, for doing the lead roles in his film. Earlier, Rockline Venkatesh had planned a movie Krishanrjuna featuring both the stars, but the film never took off.
Right now, Shobaraj is on the sets of Kannada film Saacha at Kaushik Studio, Sigehalli. He said he has received two prime offers in Tamil. One introduces Tamil actor Murali's son and another has Arjun in the lead. Shobaraj also explained that he is getting 10 to 15 lakhs for the villain's role in other languages, more than double what he receives in Kannada. He also added that for an actor like him who goes from Kannada, he get very good roles and remuneration in Tamil films. He also praised the way Tamil films are made. He is of the opinion that Tamil film-makers think about a subject for eight to 10 months, prepare a script and then make the movie.
He rated his roles as villain in Shabdavedi with Dr. Rajkumar, Yajamana, Simhadriya Simha with Dr. Vishnuvardhan as the most memorable in his career.
