Leelavathi lends a helping hand

Veteran actress Leelavathi is displaying her benevolent nature by building a hospital in the rural area of Soldevanahalli near Nelamangala. Leelavathi, who is aware of the difficulties faced by the residents to get good treatment, has opened a hospital with 6 beds there. Leelavathi and her son inaugurated the hospital which cost Rs. 30 lakhs.

Leelavathi said the the hospital will take care of the basic medical and health needs of the people in Soldevanahalli. She also unveiled plans to expand the hospital in the future. She said that an operation theatre will be built in the near future and the residents will no longer have to go far away for surgeries.

Leelavathi is not only very kind towards humans, but also towards animals. Near the new hospital, she has also set up a veterinary hospital. Leelavathi sold her land in Chennai to raise the money to build the hospital. The first free camp for medical examination was conducted last Wednesday many people turned out and participated in the programme.
