According to Agni Shridhar, non-Kannada films are the main reason for the failure of the Kannada films. He said, “When our movies are not allowed to be screened in other states, why we should allow the non-Kannada movies to release in our state? It"s really surprising that the Karnataka government has never considered this serious issue as a problem of Kannada film industry."
Shridhar agreed that the immediate release of Telugu movie Magadheera has definitely affected the earnings of many Kannada movies at the Box Office. He said that there is a dire need of improving the quality of the Kannada films. Telugu and Tamil film industries have big market. They have rich technology, which is why they are trying to get hold on our film industry."
After the release of the movie Kallara Santhe, Shridhar is planning to do another movie called Edegarike. He hopes to direct Hat-trick hero Shivaraj Kumar in the movie. “If anyone is ready to invest Rs. 18 cr. on my forthcoming movie, I"ll do a movie, which will be ten times better than movie Magadheera.
