C R Manohar enters Telugu
Noted film producer C.R. Manohar is making Mahatma (Telugu) featuring Srikanth. This is his Telugu film he has earlier produced Orata and Jenumadha Gelathi in Kannada. Incidentally, Mahatma is Srikanth's 100th film and the actor is eagerly looking forward to have a huge hit.
Mahatma was officially launched on Sunday morning at the Aluminium factory in Hyderabad. The function was attended by Megastar Chiranjeevi (who has now formed the new political party Praja Rajyam), former Karnataka Chief Minister and JD (S) leader Kumaraswamy, former Union Minister and film director Dasari Naryana Rao, well-known film director Raghavendra Rao and other bigwigs from Telugu films. Dasari directed the first shot while Chiranjeevi sounded the clapboard. Raghavendra Rao and Kumaraswamy together performed the pooja.
The muhurat shot featured Srikanth bringing the idol of Mahatma amidst bomb blasts.. Mahatma is directed by Krishnavamsi. Bhavana is the heroine. Chiranjeevi wished all the luck to Srikanth on his 100th film and said that Krishnavamshi is one of the finest directors in Telugu cinema.
