Challenging star Darshan has condemned KFCC for neglecting senior artists and technicians by not publishing books on their life history on the occasion of Amrutha Mahotsava of Kannada Film Industry. Senior artistes like Sudhir, NS Rao, Sundar Krishna Aras, Dinesh, Mysore Lokesh and Musari Krishnamurthy have not even been remembered on the occasion.

"Including my father Tugudeep Shrinivas, many artistes and technicians have been neglected by the KFCC. They have appeared in more than 300 Kannada movies. We will conduct a protest march against KFCC to condemn their underestimation of these artistes and technicians," said Dharshan with great disappointment.

Darshan has said that KFCC president Dr. Jayamala looked down upon him when he went to ask her about the issue before Amrutha Mahotsava. Later days, she did not come to office with a pretext of ill health. She even did not respond over phone.

He has expressed his disappointment that a committee was formed to write and publish the books, but the committee has not discussed anything with anyone. It has ignored the artistes and technicians, who have struggled to build the industry.

However, Prof. Baraguru Ramachandrappa, president of Book Publication Committee has slammed the allegation made by Darshan. He said that the committee had decided to publish only 75 books on major contributors of Kannada films on the occasion of 75th Anniversary. There was no negligence or injustice to anyone.
