Today is 'good Friday' for Kannada films

It is not an exaggeration to say that there are Kannada audience, who do not feel comfortable, if they do not watch one new Kannada film every week. For there surprise, four Kannada movies are releasing today. Here is a brief note of the movies for those anxious audiences, who spend Rs 30-50 on film ticket, Rs 18 on bus fare, Rs 16 on chats and Rs 6 for Coffee.

1 Kempa: Karnataka Police and BSF had attacked Gopinatham in Tamil Nadu, when they started operation to catch Veerappan. It was heard that these men had ill treated the public there. An investigation on the atrocity was also held. Now the movie Kempa captures the same historical event and tries to bring it on the screen. It is said that Karnataka Censor Board was afraid at first to give any certificate to the movie. At last, the movie is out today with 'UA' certificate.

2 Anu: Kannada Movie Anu is a remake of Telugu super hit movie Anasuya. The movie deals with medical students and their crime world. It depicts love and crime moving side by side. It is a heroine oriented movie. Bhumika had played the heroine in the original.

4 Taxi No. 1: It is said that the director of the movie, Prbhakar was running an autorickshaw earlier. Trough this movie, he has tried to capture his experience of those days.
