Hamsalekha College to be built with Rs. 120 Cr

Popular Kannada musician Hamsalekha is all set to lay the foundation stone to his Desi Music University on the day of Kannada Rajyotsava on November 1. The University will be built with Rs. 120 crores in 50 acres of land. The place for the Hamsalekha College of Art Exhibition and Research Centre has already been fixed at Mudigere near Channapattana.

The music director had once vowed to establish a music college. Now, his vow is coming into actions. Presently, the Hamsalekha College is being run at Mahalakshmipuram in Bangalore and it has been recognized by Dravidian University.

The Hamsalekha College is currently offering PUC and Degree courses in music. A sixty lecturers' team has already prepared syllabus for the courses. Hamsalekha is planning to create his own independent educational society and take it international level.
