Girish Kasarvalli facing another scandal

Popular director Girish Kasaravalli is facing another scandal after he gave his judgment about the Best Movie in Kerala State Film Awards 2008. Earlier, he was critisised for choosing his own Kannada movie Gulabi Talkies for the Best Movie award.

Girish Kasaravalli, who was the jury chairman of selection committee, has selected Adoor Gopalakrishnan directed Orupennum Randanum for the Best Movie award. Now TV Chandran, the director of second Best Movie, has expressed his disappointment towards Girish's judgment.

TV Chandran says that Adoor Gopalakrishnan directed movie is not at all a movie, but it is a documentary that was meant for Doordarshan. He asks how he can select a documentary for Best Movie award. So Girish Kasaravalli has done injustice by select the movie for the Best Movie award.

However, when movie Gulabi Talkies was awarded Best Movie in Kannada, producer K Manju and Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar had expressed the disappointment towards Girish Kasaravalli.
