Youngest Film Director Reaps Honours

Master Kishen, Guinness Book record holder for being the world's youngest film director, recently received another national award. On February 5th, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, UPA Chairperson, presented Master Kishen with the National Award for Exceptional Achievement for 2008. Kishen's name was nominated by Narendra Swamy, Minister for woman and child development, Karnataka.

Last year, Care of Footpath, directed by Kishen was honoured with the National Award for the best children"s film. Care of Footpath has been screened around the world in various film festivals. Whereever it goes, the film is getting accolades and awards. The film has been screened in Madrid and Greece film festivals, where it was appreciated by the international media.

Care of Footpath is about the struggle of street children; Master Kishen has written the script and acted in the lead role, apart from directing it.
