Subbaraya and Sudhindra come back home and they shock Kalyani and others with the news of Ranganath's murder. Subbaraya tells that police will chase them. Kalyani is shocked. On the other side Ranganath goes to Hosamane, who scolds him for his unwise plan. Ranganath reveals his plan, which astonishes him.

Inspector Rajachari comes to Kalyani's home to arrest Subbaraya and Sudhindra. Kalyani asks for the witness. But Subbaraya comes forward to get arrested without giving her another chance to speak. When Rajachari walks away with them, Lalita thinks that all her dreams are shattered.

Kalyani calls Sukanya over phone, while Megha and Nandgudi are shocked to see the news on Sukanya in news paper. Kalyani informs them about the arrest of Sudhindra and Subbaraya. Megha says that she is busy with Sukanya's issue. She assures to come her home in the evening. When she tells the same to Lalita, she says that nobody will come in support of poor people like them.

Poorvi meets Sukanya at her home and asks her whether the report in the news paper is true. But She is baffled, when Sukanya remains silent. Sukanya tries to convince her, but she scolds her and walks away from the scene. Sukanya weeps bitterly.
