Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar denies apologizing to Andrita Ray

Director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar has dismissed the reports of apologizing for slapping actress Andrita Ray on the sets of his movie Nooru Janmaku in Hong Kong. Earlier, it was reported that the slapgate issue was ended after he apologised to her. But he said that he remained silent after he was asked by KFCC to close the matter stating that what he had done was wrong.

Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar held a press meet of Nooru Janmaku at Bell Hotel near railway station Bangalore on Thursday. Addressing the media he clarified that his press was not meant to level charges against Andrita. He said, “I was feeling bad as I could not attend to the calls of the media men and my close friends on the day the news broke out. It was not deliberate. I was in a state of shock and could not take calls including that of my mother."

But Nagathihalli claimed that the reports stating he apologized for the incident are wrong. He said that along with the members of KFCC, president Dr. Jayamala told him what he had done was wrong. So she had asked him to close the matter. He said, "So it is now a closed matter."

The director might say that he has obeyed KFCC and closed the issue. But in reality, he has not ended it. He has given a new twist to it by holding a press meet. Will Andrita Ray also hold a press meet to defend herself? Will KFCC takes disciplinary action against him?
