After Salman Khan starrer movie Wanted, actor-turned-director Prabhu Deva, who is basically from Mysore, Karnataka, wants to direct a Kannada movie. He is eagerly waiting for an opportunity. Recently, Prabhu attended the final function of dance show 'Sai' as a guest judge. The function was organised by Kannada TV channel Suvarna at Palace Grounds Bangalore.
Talking to the media men on the occasion, Prabhu Deva said, "I'm very much interested in directing a Kannada movie. I'm just waiting for somebody to give me an opportunity. If I get good offer, I'll definitely direct in Kannada. Even my father (Mugur Sundar) badly wants me to direct in Kannada."
Although the director is from Karnataka, today he has got many fans around the country. He is considered one among the superstars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Chiranjeevi, Mammootty and Venkatesh. He is also known as Michael Jackson of India. Earlier, he has acted in three Kannada movies like H2O, 123 and Manasella Neene.
Prabhu Deva started his directorial career with the Telugu movie Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana in 2005 and later he directed movies like Pournami and Shankardada Zindabad in Telugu. He debuted as director in Tamil with the movie Pokkiri in 2007. The movie was big success and this led him to remake it in Hindi also.
