A prisoner named Nagaraj alias Naga has escaped from the Parappana Agrahara Central Jail during the shooting of director Rajshekhar's film Parole. It is said that Nagaraj, who is a resident of Kumbarbeedi in Hesaraghatta and was jailed on a charge of arson, mingled discreetly with the film crew and stealthily made his way out of the Central Jail on Monday evening.

The Parole crew consisting of 90 people reached the jail in four vehicles. The crew had sought prior permission to shoot a few sequences of the film inside the jail complex. Along with a few other undertrials, Nagaraj was watching the shoot with enthusiasm and interest. He entered the hospital unnoticed in the evening, when the shoot site shifted to a space between the jail"s main gate and a hospital outside.

Meanwhile, Nagaraj had quietly slipped out without the knowledge of other undertrials. Sources say that but he did not board any of the four buses the film crew had brought along, but coolly walked out into the city. The escape came to light late night during the roll call of all prisoners and undertrials.

However, Kannada movie Parole is directed by Rajshekhar and produced by Suresh Aras. Newcomers Likith, Vishwas, Pradeep and Sharath are playing the lead roles in the film Parole. Noted theatre artiste B Suresh also appears in a special role.
