Actress
Priyamani
has
slammed
the
reports
claiming
that
she
is
getting
Rs
40
lakh
fees
(payment)
for
her
role
in
Golden
star
Ganesh's
untitled
Kannada
film.
She
claimed
that
those
rumours
are
baseless
and
she
would
receive
a
reasonable
amount
as
remuneration.
It
was
rumoured
earlier
that
the
actress
would
get
Rs.
40
lakh
as
remuneration,
which
also
includes
her
expenses
such
as
her
stay
and
charges
for
hiring
a
caravan
on
the
days
she
would
be
shooting.
"That
is
a
baseless
rumour.
I
have
quoted
a
reasonable
amount
as
remuneration,
which
is
what
I
usually
do.
The
producers
did
not
bargain
either.
But
it
is
definitely
not
as
much
as
what
is
being
said," the
DNA
quotes
her
saying.
The
reported
had
also
claimed
that
Priyamani
is
the
highest
paid
actress
in
the
Kannada
film
industry.
The
actress
added,
"I've
no
clue
about
what
other
actresses
are
being
paid
here,
so
I
am
not
sure
if
I
am
the
highest
paid."
However,
the
actress
did
not
deny
reports
about
hiking
up
her
remuneration
after
National
Award
for
the
Tamil
film
Paruthi
Veeran
last
year.
She
said,
"Winning
an
award
like
this
reflects
positively
on
your
remuneration
automatically."
Priya,
who
is
now
waiting
for
the
release
of
Bollywood
movie
Ravana,
is
expecting
the
movie
to
be
her
stepping
stone
to
Bollywood.
