"We have captured Ladakh in Raaj - The Showman even better than the Bollywood movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. We had hired a guide to shoot the snow covered mountains in Ladakh. We were told that there would not be enough of oxygen on the top of mountains, but our guide suggested us to shoot the movie after getting adjusted to the climate in Ladakh," said Prem.
"But we had gone to Ladakh without any preparation. May be, we were just 100 meter down by mount Everest. We shot first part of the song. But while shooting next part, our film crew started falling unconscientious one by one. Even Nisha Kothari's mother got fainted," he added.
Fortunately, Puneet Rajkumar did not face any trouble. He has given wonderful performance in that song. We said pack up to the shooting and went to a safe place. After taking treatment from a nearby army clinic, we were able to complete the shooting of the movie," director Prem said further. He also said that Mani Ratnam's Del Se was also shot in Ladakh. Finally, The director thanked his film crew for the co-operation.
Puneet Rajkumar-Nisha Kothari starrer Raaj - The Showman, which had recently created panic in the Kannada film industry, has now completed its shooting. The film crew faced lots of difficulties in the last schedule of its shooting. The song 'He Paaru....' has been shot in South Africa and another song 'Poli Ivanu....' has been in Ladakh.
