Actress Ramya, who made the headlines after she quarreled with journalist Ganesh Kasargod on the occasion of Jothegaara press meet, has once again made headlines by declining to play late actress Kalpana's role in the remake of movie Sharapanjara. She says that nobody has contacted her with respect to the role and even if somebody contacts her with regard to the role, she would not play the role.
Recently, it was reported earlier that a debut director had said that he wanted to remake the Puttanna Kanagal directed Sharapanjara, which was based on Triveni's novel. He had also expressed his desire to rope in actress Ramya for the role played by Kalpana in the original.
He said in a press meet, "We've not contacted Ramya so far. Soon we'll meet her and narrate the story and the demands of the role. We're sure to get her consent for the role."
However, Ramya has disappointed the filmmaker by denying straight away even before they ask her. The upcoming actresses are excited to hear the name of Kalpana. They will be eager to play roles like her. Now Ramya's refusal to play Kalpana's role has surprised the cine experts in Gandhinagar.
