Shruthi adopts blind child Vinutha

Actress Shruthi, who is presently the president of Department of Women and Child Development, is in news again after she adopted a blind child. Earlier, she had made headlines by filing a case for divorce from her hubby director S Mahender. Shruthi has said that her adopted child would not share any relationship with her would be husband Chandrachood.

Shruthi's adopted blind girl, Vinutha, who is studying in 3rd standard, is very happy to accept the actress as her mother. Shruthi has already signed all the documents at Ramanshree Ashram Jayanagar, Bangalore and taken the girl into her custody. Another specialty is that she has adopted the girl on her daughter Gauri's birthday. On that day, Gauri celebrated her birthday with other blind children in the Ashram.

According to the source, the actress has also donated Rs. 10,800 to Ramanshree Ashram on the same occasion. Talking about adopting the child, she said, "I've adopted blind girl Vinutha and I'll take all her responsibilities. Like my daughter Gauri, I'll grow up Vinutha."

However, it should be recalled that Shruthi is fighting for the justice to Devdasis (Sex workers, prostitutes). She has vowed to construct 5000 houses for them. She wants to get a respectful name for them.
