Shruthi to be president of KCA

Kannada actress Shruthi is reportedly becoming the president of Kannada Cinema Academy. Recently Chief Minister BS Yedyurappa has assured to start Kannada Cinema Academy when he was addressing the inauguration of 3rd Bangalore International Film Festival. The CM reiterated the fact at the winter session of Karnataka state Assembly in Belgaum.

Kannada film industry has been demanding the Government for the Academy for many years. Now the dream of the industry is going to be fulfilled with the CM's assurance. Shruthi, who has acted in more that 100 movie, is very popular actress in Karnataka. Earlier, it was reported the the actress was set to contest the MLC election from BJP. Along with her husband S Mahendar, she had also participated in the MLA election campaign for BJP.

The actress' hubby had contested for MLA election from BJP in Kollegal constituency, but was defeated. Now it is said that considering all these reasons the BJP lead Government is going to select Shruthi for the post of President of Kannada Cinema Academy.
