Sudeep"s association with RGV has made him very busy in Bollywood. Now, he is playing the role of a real-life DCP in Ram Gopal Varma"s Rakta Charitra. “It"s a modern-day Mahabharata, with Shatrughan Sinha, Vivek Oberoi, Zarina Wahab, Raj Babbar, Surya and Ranjeet playing major roles," the Bangalore Times quotes him as saying. “It"s a five-hour-long bilingual in Hindi and Telugu. It"ll release in two parts, each of two-and-a-half hours" duration. The second part will be released 30 days after the first," he adds.
Soon Sudeep will be heading to Mumbai to shoot Phoonk sequel Phoonk 2, which is also produced under RGV"s banner. The movie is a debut directorial venture of Milind Gadagkar. Sudeep says, “I"m doing the sequel for my friend Milind."
Sudeep says that RGV has always surprised him with offers. Now under his banner, the actor has planned to debut as a director with a remake of Kannada movie Just Maath Maathalli. “I"ve finalised the production house, but I"m yet to zero in on the cast. A couple of actors have already shown interest in being part of the film," the Bangalore Times reports him as saying.
However, he has already finished the shooting of another RGV"s movie Rann, which is slated for a January 2010 release. He is also working on to direct a bilingual project in Kannada and Hindi next year. He says, but it all depends on how the movie Rann does at the Box Office.
Let us wish him bright future in B-town.
