TV9 news reader Ranganath turning actor

Ranganath Bhardwaj, who is a news reader in Kannada news channel TV9, is now making big leap from small screen to big screen. Ranganath is debuting in Kannada films through the movie Cheluvina Gelathi, which is produced by politician-turned-producer G Ravi and BV Sheshadri.

The movie Cheluvina Gelathi is directed by Prematanaya Shrinivas. He has also written story, screenplay, dialogues and even lyrics for the movie. Actress Mayuri a.k.a. Flora Shainey, who has earlier acted in Kannada movies like Kodanda Rama, Nammanna, Dimaku and CID Isha, is playing the lady love of Ranganath. Presently, she is also acting in the film Olave Vishmaya.

The film Cheluvina Gelathi has MS Maruthi"s music, Cine-Tech Soori"s camera work, Kaurav Venkatesh"s stunt and Hosamane Murthy"s act direction. The specialty of the movie is that both director and producer are from Mysore. However, it is said that the movie is soon going to start shooting.

Ranganath Bhardwaj is a familiar face throughout Karnataka. He has good looking personality. He has created his own niche in news reading as well as interviewing big personalities. Another star Ganesh, who was once featured as anchor on Uday TV earlier, is now popular actor in the industry.
