Vijay's Devru to release on November 20

After the success of Junglee and Taakat, Duniya Vijay is set for the next innings in 2009. Now Vijay"s Kannada movie Devru is ready to strike the theatres statewide on November 20. The film has been directed by Sadhu Kokila and produced by Rockline Venkatesh. Actress Pragna is playing Vijay"s love interest.

The film Devru is a remake of Tamil movie Thalai Nagaram. Producer Venkatesh, who has earlier produced Vijay's movie Jungle, says that its original is a Malayalam film. But it has been changed according to the taste of Kannada audiences. Vijay has tonsured his head for the movie, which showcases him in a totally different get up.

Rockline Venkatesh has also played a guest role as a police officer. He says that Pragna is an upcoming trendy actress and she has done exceptionally well in Devru. He appreciates Vijay"s commitment to his work. “He"s very dedicated to his craft. Especially for the climax fight sequence, he took permission to rehearse the scenes ten days in advance. He"s so involved in his work, says Venkatesh.
