Actor
Ajay
Rao
seems
to
be
turning
a
menace
to
director
and
producer
of
the
Kannada
film
industry.
He
broke
up
with
his
guru
R
Chandru,
who
had
given
him
a
big
break
with
the
movie
Taj
Mahal.
He
did
not
attend
the
promotional
works
of
Prem
Kahani,
which
failed
at
the
Box
office
despite
having
a
good
storyline.
Now,
producer
Praveen
is
latest
victim
of
Ajay
Rao.
It
is
said
that
Praveen
had
signed
him
by
fixing
salary
of
Rs
14
lakh
to
act
in
his
movie
Manasina
Maatu
immediately
after
the
success
of
Taj
Mahal.
Despite
taking
an
advance
amount,
he
decided
to
do
two
more
films
like
Prem
Kahani
and
Jaaji
Mallige.
So
the
producer
approached
the
Kannada
Film
Producers'
Association
(KFPA)
and
Rockline
managed
to
convince
him.
to
act
in
his
film
first.
Later,
Ajay
had
requested
Praveen
to
cut
his
remuneration
by
half
in
order
to
let
him
do
the
two
films
first.
The
producer
agreed
to
do
so.
Both
Jaaji
Mallige
and
Prem
Kahani
failed
at
the
box
office.
Praveen
paid
Rs
4
lakh
installment
and
started
shooting
of
Manasina
Maatu.
After
completing
the
shooting
Manasina
Maatu,
the
producer
was
left
empty
handed
and
requested
Ajay
to
complete
the
dubbing
and
receive
the
remaining
remuneration
later.
When
he
refused,
Praveen
once
again
requested
the
KFPA
mediated
them.
Ajay
accepted
to
complete
it
by
taking
Rs.
one
lakh.
But
the
actor
denied
to
accept
the
money
as
he
came
out
of
KFPA
and
filed
a
complaint
against
the
producer
at
the
Karnataka
Film
Artistes'
Association.
The
matter
finally
came
back
to
the
producers
where
Ajay
was
severely
chastised.
He
took
the
payment
and
completed
dubbing
for
the
film.
If
Ajay
continue
to
trouble,
he
might
land
up
at
troubles
himself.
