Kannada
actor-turned-politician
Ambareesh,
who
was
the
Minister
of
state
in
the
Ministry
of
Information
and
Broadcasting
in
Manmohan
Singh
Government,
has
now
taken
part
in
the
Karnataka
Congress
MLAs'
'Bellary
Chalo
Padayatra'
programme
yesterday
(02
August).
The
Padayatra
started
on
Sunday
on
Jul
25
and
the
rebel
star
joined
opposition
leader
Siddaramayya,
RV
Deshpande,
DK
Shivakumar
on
the
ninth
day
of
the
Padayatra.
The
Congress
MLAs
have
already
crossed
180
Kms
and
reached
a
village
near
Chitradurga.
After
joining
the
Padayatra,
the
Kannada
actor
spoke
to
the
media
and
said,
"I
was
very
busy
with
the
shooting
works,
when
the
Bellary
Chalo
Padayatra
started.
So
I
could
not
make
it
to
the
occasion.
But
now
I
am
free
from
all
responsibilities
and
I
would
stay
here
with
all
the
party
leaders
and
workers
tonight."
After
crossing
a
little
distance
in
the
Padayatra
the
Mandyada
Gandu
star
got
into
his
car.
When
asked
about
it,
he
replied,
"I'm
suffering
from
leg
pain
and
I
can't
walk.
So
I
will
reach
the
place
by
car.
Moreover,
I
don't
like
to
have
publicity
by
walking
in
the
group.
So
I
would
like
to
go
by
car."
Meanwhile,
the
arrival
of
Ambi
into
the
Padayatra
had
brought
new
life
to
the
tired
worker
of
Congress
party,
who
had
continuously
been
walking
for
nine
long
days.
In
addition
to
this,
thousand
of
Ambi
fans
had
also
joined
the
Padayatra
yesterday.
They
were
quite
curious
to
see
their
hero.
This
led
to
rush
and
stamped
in
the
Padayatra,
but
there
was
no
unusual
reported.
However,
Ambareesh
is
currently
busy
with
the
shooting
of
Kichcha
Sudeep
starrer
movie
Veera
Parampare.
The
Kannada
actor,
who
is
playing
a
very
important
role
in
the
film,
has
already
completed
his
shooting
portions
in
Belgaum
and
Hubli.
Recently,
the
film
crew
has
moved
to
Mysore.
Another
specialty
of
the
film
is
that
director
Vijayalakshmi
Singh
is
acting
alongside
Ambi.
