Rajinikanth
and
Aishwarya
Bachchan
starrer
Tamil
movie
Endhiran,
which
is
set
to
release
on
October
01,
is
making
it
to
headlines
with
one
or
the
other
reason.
Now,
the
latest
buzz
about
the
film
is
that
it
is
a
remake
of
Superstar
Upendra's
Kannada
movie
Hollywood.
The
rumours
started
making
rounds
immediately
after
the
clue
about
Rajini
playing
duel
roles
in
the
film.
It
is
reported
that
there
are
a
few
striking
similarities
between
Upendra"s
Hollywood
and
Rajinikanth"s
Endhiran.
Uppi
played
a
man
and
a
robot,
whereas
in
Endhiran,
Rajini
is
also
said
to
be
playing
dual
role
in
which
one
is
robot.
Secondly,
a
monkey
played
an
important
role
in
Uppi's
film
whereas
mosquito
is
said
to
be
appearing
in
that
role
in
Endhiran.
It
is
said
that
director
Shankar
of
Endhiran
had
once
told
Upendra
that
he
was
doing
a
science-fiction
film
in
Tamil
and
it
was
inspired
by
his
2002
Kannada
movie.
But
the
director
Dinesh
Babu
and
actor
Upendra
of
Hollywood
have
dismissed
the
romours
claiming
it
to
be
a
remake.
However,
Upendra
has
done
the
movie
Hollywood
in
the
Kannada
in
2002
and
it
has
a
good
message
to
society.
But
it
should
be
noted
here
that
Hollywood
was
made
with
Rs.
10
crores
whereas
Endhiran
is
made
with
a
whopping
amount
of
Rs.
170
crores.
This
makes
Dinesh
Babu
say
that
there
can
never
be
similarities
in
these
movies.
