Kannada
films
are
often
pitted
against
non-Kannada
movies.
Despite
getting
rave
reviews,
Srinagar
Kitty
starrer
movie
Male
Barali
Manju
Irali
utterly
failed
at
the
Box
Office
last
year
and
that
is
because
of
release
of
Big
budget
Telugu
movie
Magadheera.
Early
this
year,
the
release
of
Bollywood
movie
Kites
and
Raavan
were
supposed
to
create
same
kind
of
situation
in
Kannada,
but
the
Karnataka
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce
had
somehow
tried
to
stop
them.
Now,
Prashanth
directed
Kannada
film
Gana
Bajana
is
the
latest
movie
to
face
this
kind
of
set
back
at
the
Box
Office.
The
movie
is
releasing
on
October
01.
Rajinikanth
and
Aishwarya
Bachchan
starrer
Endhiran,
which
has
been
dubbed
in
Telugu
and
Hindi,
is
hitting
the
screens
on
the
same
day.
The
distribution
rights
of
Endhiran
in
Karnataka
have
already
been
sold
for
a
whopping
amount
of
Rs.
9.75
crores.
This
has
created
a
threat
for
the
movie
Gana
Bajana.
Earlier,
Tamil
movie
Endhiran
was
slated
to
release
on
September
24.
So
Gana
Bajana
makers
decided
to
release
it
on
October
01
and
now
they
have
even
booked
the
theatres
across
the
state.
But
the
release
of
Endhiran
was
postponed
to
October
01
due
to
some
technical
reasons.
Gana
Bajana
bosses
are
left
with
no
option
and
it
became
an
inevitable
situation
for
them
to
release
it
on
October
01.
However,
Gana
Bajana,
which
has
been
made
by
the
team
of
Love
Guru,
has
Tarun,
Radhika
Pandit
and
Dilipraj
in
the
lead
roles.
The
movie
is
a
musical
comedy
and
is
aimed
at
family
audiences.
According
to
the
director,
the
film
has
higher
entertainment
quotient
and
has
been
presented
differently.
Tarun
essays
an
extrovert,
while
Radhika
plays
the
heroine
in
Gana
Bajana.
Dilipraj
plays
a
rowdy
in
this
film.
Now
it
should
be
waited
and
watched
whether
Gana
Bajana
will
rock
the
Box
Office
or
washed
away
by
the
currents
of
Endhiran.
